Rainbow Covenant

About 7 in the evening, dad came running into my room and announced excitedly that a rainbow has appeared in the sky. Though I was anxiously watching the final episode of Tokyo Love story, a classic Japanese drama serial, somehow, something in me wanted me to drop all things to catch a glimpse of the [...]

Thinking that the movie was adapted from the book and so reading would be as good as watching, I picked up a copy and was left rather dumb-founded. The two are certainly complete strangers except for bearing the same name of the main character. The movie I was told would be a three-hour long story telling while the [...]

I first got hold of this book back in 2005.
Apart from the tale of a “Gods” fearing Indian boy’s survival on the seas and in the company of a fearsome tiger with a rather American name, Richard Parker, it will always include an appendix on a winter tale in Seoul that began and ended on 14 [...]

Hiddink did it again! And this time it’s with the English League, Chelsea who marched triumphantly into the FA cup semifinals. What a shame that I could only read this on the news and not watch the guy and more guys in action. Now he has really got me excited about the game all over again and yes, the world-cup will soon [...]

Two Japanese movies watched a week apart, and both have converted me or should I say I have reverted back to being a fan of Japanese movies. And between the two movies, Okuribito or Departures was nominated and has rightfully won the best foreign movie award in the recent Oscars. The movie has all that you would want in a great [...]
