Matisse pales in the slow town

Popping sleeping pills, waking up as early as 6a.m. even with the aid of pills. The dark circles are beyond help of the eye pads or used & drained tea bags. The days went by like hues on Matisse’s canvas except for one special day that turns everything into the shades of black and white. Though the sometimes excruciating back pain returned and the feet almost swollen from walking, the redness and itch so unbearable, compliments from the deadly mozzies,  all was worth it at this slow town that delivers solitude and peace to a restless soul and tired heart…
